“THE WORLD’S GREATEST PHILANTHROPY”

The philanthropy of The Imperial Shrine of North America is the operation of the 22 Shriners Hospitals for Children along with the medical research needed to maintain the best care possible.

Each of the 191 Shrine Chapters are committed to support this philanthropy through their financial support, providing general information to the community about the care Shriners Hospitals can provide and the referral of potential patients. Also the local Shrine Chapters along with its Clubs and Units provide assistance to the patient and its family to make sure there is minimal financial hardship in obtaining care.

Zor Shriners are committed to “THE WORLD’S GREATEST PHILANTHROPY”. We provide transportation to patients and his or her family to either the Chicago or Twin Cities Hospitals via a number of Shrine vans located throughout the area. We also provide air transportation for burned victims to Shriners Hospitals for Children in Cincinnati, which is a burn treatment hospital. We also conduct screening clinics, in Wisconsin, where potential patients can be evaluated to determine if the patient should be referred to Shriners Hospitals for Children for possible care. By wearing our red Fez in a parade or in a restaurant at a Shrine meeting we continue to remind the general public that Shriners Hospitals for Children can provide free care to children with orthopedic or burn care needs.
